I have the Mach 460 system in my car, and I know that it comes with small subs in the system too. I was wondering if you could pull out the stock subwoofers and replace them with harder hitting subs. Has anyone ever done this?

The standard Mach 460, or at least mine, did not have any subs. They have the 4 speakers up front and 4 in the rear with 2 amps.

Mach 460 didnt have subs, you are thinking of the Mach 1000 which had 10 in subs

Yes, except the mach 1000 was available on new edge (believe it started in 2002) while the Shaker is only on s197's

ah the mach system has the 5 x 7 woofers with the rear enclosures and in the doors with 2.5 inch tweets. The biggest problem is that they are a 6 ohm woofer so if you replace it with the standard 4 ohm driver it will sound really bad and probably blow your amp. IF you have alreayd reaplced your deck then you can bypass teh amps to teh new speakers easily and make much better sound.
