yeah i know, but what I got is pretty cheap on eBay and can be bent/cut to any reasonable shape. They sell a few different colors too, i think there was even a chrome one. Tony will cream himself over that lol.

I bought the black silicone hose kit for my car, as soon as I opened the package I decided it will never go on my car. Looks like someone wrapped a hose in electrical tape.

Have looked at a couple replacements and just going with a plain rubber one but at I have a set of ford racing hose clamp covers to that should make it look a little better.

I have not done it yet, but I got the parts to do it. I bought a bunch of different types of tech-flex, the black braided nylon stuff and black shrink-wrap and some nice polished clamps. Most of the tech-flex is the type that you have to slide the hose/wires through but some of it is split along one edge so that it just slides over it. The big piece I got for the upper hose on mine is like this. To put it one I am going to smear some silicon on the bottom where the seem will be and then wrap it with some string till it dries. I have some nice clamps that go on the ends to hold it and enough to do the wires/hoses that will remain so that they will all have the same look/texture to them.

i hope it's not as hard as that fuukin stainless braided sleeve kit that you slide over hoses, lol. i tried that on my 350 a few years ago and my god man, that shit looked horrible, lol. by the time i got it all the way on it was so distorted i just took it off and tossed it.

tech flex isn't like the steel-braid in that sence, it is able to move alot better and as long as its the right size slides right over it. all my stuff should look similar to opals fuel lines when I am done.

There goes another secret mod I was planning....

Oh well, might as well tel you now. I am going to try and take the silicone hose I already have and cover it with techflex black braided. Hoping it will end up looking pretty good, other wise it is going to be just plain rubber hose for my car.

Another secret mod? Do you keep them in the secret clubhouse?

Nah, just a list of ideas I was working on over the winter that I thought were original ones I came up with on my own that turn out to be not so secret and clever

Damn Tony keeps coming to my party, stealing the ball and then leaving

lol secret till we post pics online showing it all. Opels fuel line/motor was the inspiration for mine. After looking at it I decided I wanted all my hoses/wires to look like that so I have been doing all my wiring under the hood like that since. Then I bought all of this and actually one more big/wide(split seem) piece for the radiator hose.

also plannin on painting the alt/brackets black, keeping the polished valve covers and then of course the polished cobra intake as the cherry to top all this sheet off!

I didn't get the split for my rad hose, I picked up the tightweave series heat shrink from tech flex, talked to them and they assured me this will work fine under hood temps and will shrink enough where it will be tight on the hose and not look like a sock

I was going to put it over a new rubber replacement hose then I thought how stupid would be not to use the silicone stuff since I already spent the money on it

As you can see I already have the black braided in place on the vacuum lines for the IAC and PCV

exactly what i just picked up lil bit ago from jegs. when ya put it on you radiator hose it is hard to get straight & it will slip right off also. what i did is use really small zip ties on the under side to secure it. cant even see them. comes in 8 feet so i have a few other hoses i'm gonna use it on :)
