How much HP/TQ will a 1994-1998 V6 motor/trans take? This might be in a thread already but I am kicking around a V6 Turbo idea

also the block will never go. no one has put out enough power to crack one. and there are some high output people.

Who carries a good internal setup for a v6? pistons, rods, and crank? I am pushing to make around 400 to the wheels, mainly just to have fun with the thing nothing more. How is the aftermarket transmission options for them?

Super Six Motorsports has good internals, the stock 3.8 crank will be fine but if you wanna go with a stroker, they have those as well.

are you gonna go with a auto or manual? the 3.8 has the same bolt patterns are the 5.0

the 4R70W automatic in the 96-04 V6 uses a different bolt pattern than the 4.6, so a built 4R70W for a GT or any other 4.6 wont work.

might need a custom bell hosing cut.

not if it's meant for the 5.0. you can use a t56 on our engines without an issue. just need a hard to find bellhouse and custom driveshaft lol.

Yeah this will be a "when I have time and $$" project nothing I am in a hurrry to build but I did find a pretty clean looking 1995 V6 5pd. So far looks like a perfect candidate. If I do buy it the poor thing won't know what hit it haha
