Your best bet it to start with a wrecked GT. There are lot of little odds and ends you'll want. Motor, harness, fuel system, dash harness, cluster, ECU, front springs (they are a different rate than the V6 stock front springs) and a lot of little things.

Personally, I'd take the engine on the K member, trans and rear end all at once, then swap all the harnesses etc... It's too much work for the little power gain IMO.

I'd build what you have. To me, the longer you have a car/motor then better off you are if for no other reason than you know it's history. Buying another set up, you don't really know 100% what you are getting into.

Yea it's a pain in the ass but I did this swap like 6-7 years ago when I was like 18.

Do the swap. Dont go the LAZY route! Doesnt matter how much you put into the V6 its still going to be a V6 and you can only take it so far before your forced to swap to a V8 anyways.

Swap in the V8 and start modding from there. You dont need the whole car. There are many write ups that will explain what you can and cannot use off your v6 car. Theres not as much to it as many let on to.

Just do it!

That's not 100% true. The max pushrod V6 right now is @ 900 hp (flyhweel). Even a good bottom end and 500 is within reach if you know what you're doing. That's enough power for 90% of the Mustang owners looking for performance these days.
