Valve cover install questions... HELP!

Um ok... cool... new valve covers... heres what i got...

Yea, how i put the oil in? and where does the breather go? and not to mention whats the extra rubber grommets for? Just need to know if anyone else has done this and plus im usin a 1/2" spacer, think that is high enough? i hope so...

Breathers plug into the holes in the valve covers. Oil goes in by pulling a breather out and sticking a funnel in there. Extra grommets are for those folks who drill the other side of the valve cover too.

I don't know if the spacer is enough - but you'll find out shortly! :)

well this sucks :/ what do i do with the other side that i have no breather for? plug it up somehow? heh...

yes plug it and you might have to drill a hole on the other side of the pass cover so you can put oil in, i have an edelbrock intake and i tried using those covers before and a 1" spacer wasnt enough, they were too tall and hit the underside of the intake

Fuck this... If i got to west coast chopper these mothervckers to work im sending them back....

I'll just buy a set of trickflows be rice and just slap them on and know they fit....

yea i just test fit the thing, my intake needs about another inch to clear this... I'm sendin it back... :violent1:

in the end i ended up with the cast aluminum summit racing covers, they fit perfect and with no modification and didnt need a intake spacer

Yea im either going to powdercoat my stockers, or just get some trickflows and be done with it... :angry7:

Windsors are wider and don't have the same clearance issues that 302s have.

i was just about to say that. the covers look nice though, too bad they cant fit on your car, I guess im getting some Fox cobra valve covers for christmas, i found the summit racing receipt in the drawer this morning lol

sucks you cant use them those things look sweet
