Hi guys!
I am mustanger from Russia so sorry about my english.
It`s my first message there, but I`ve been reading that forum for at least a year, and have found there a lot of help.
I have already installed on my 94 GT upper\lower intake Edelbrock 3821, 70mm TB Ford Racing, 24lb injectors and some other mods. Now want to buy alluminium heads. As long as my intake is Edelbrock I think heads will be Ebelbrock too. Think it would be Performer series with 1.9 valves and 1.6 roller rockers. Want to find out what mounts are better - stud or pedestal?
And second question is what valve covers I should go winth? I want to be sure that covers sets up clear to throttle body. How can I find it out? Can`t find Edelbrock tech support email - only phone number. But since I`m in Russia I can`t call them.
And BTW how do you think how much power it would be when I install that heads? My tranny is AT with 3.73 rear end. Camshaft and engine bottom will remain stock. Exhaust is stock too except Bassani shorty headers.
Thanks!
Here is my ride:

performer heads are a very good set of heads and since you already have the intake it makes sense to keep them the same for the ports to match.

stud mount are stronger and are recommended for stiff springs and large lift cams. you will need to buy new rockers if you do get them.

i prefer the stock covers and it is what i use on my car. i am not sure of how much clearance is in the sn covers as i have a fox but i do know that out of all the foxes the late 92 - 93 covers have a lot more room inside of them and i didn't have to clearance anything.

i have the performer rpm h/c/i on my coupe and it makes a tad over 300

Just get a cheap set of Fox valve covers and polish them or powdercoat them. I had the edelbrock perf. heads with 1.6 RR and when I sat my stock 95 GT valve covers they sat on the rockers. Edelbrock heads are very good for the money you spend

yup look to just be a difference between stud and pedestal. nothing wrong with the pedestal mounts as long as you follow the recommended cam specs for them. :headbang:

Pretty sure you are going to need hardened pushrods as well. They are not expensive but factor in that cost.

yes, I know. Pushrods, head bolts, bolt bushings, gaskets - it is clear to me.

I would also recomend getting some upgraded bolts. I had one break on me and it was a huge nightmare that cost a hell of a lot more then ARP bolts would have....

Thanks!

Today have ordered a pair of EDL-60379 heads from Summit. So I`m going to get 300rwhp next season.
Soon will make a photoshoot of my stang and will create a topic in Introduction section.

Is it hard to get things like that into russia? Or is it just costly?

I'd guess insanely expensive, and parts are pretty much non-existant.

Yes, all parts except filters and gaskets I have to order from USA (summit, rockauto, ebay) and wait about a month to get it.
There is no way to get old cars such my 94 GT to Russia because our customs laws and ecology laws. My car arrives in Russia in 98 when it was much easier to get import car.
Fresh cars (05+) are good about ecology, but customs fees are extremely high. For example custom fee for new Mustang 5.0 would be around $25.000.
It is all because our stupid idiot Putin - he is a bandit and thinks only about money for him and his friends who controls factories and big companies.
