i was wondering if there is any advantage to having beehive valve spring rather than regular valve springs

Variable pitch or "Beehive" springs dampens harmonics and have a closer spacing to the head.

they also allow you to run more valve lift without worrying about coil bind, and more RPM's / duration before you start floating valves.
