i picked up a set of gt40 heads already mildy ported for 100 bucks but the catch is they are bare my question is can i use my valves out of my stock heads? i do plan on running better valve springs and retainers

no one can answer that question without taking measurements. drop the heads off to a machinist. in the end you are going to wind up spending more then the heads are worth though imo

GT40 heads use a larger in/ex valve then the E7's.

They use a 1.84/1.54 valve.

I replaced my valves on my old GT40's with a set from comp for around $125 if I remember right.
