VHT niteshade problems.

Anyone have problems with the outcome of the tail lights looking purple??? WTF. I do light coats and it turns purple. It seems i cant get it to remain slighty red.. either purple or pitch black.
Already tried 3 times which is gone so i wasted one $14 can. Stuff is not cheap.

The time it came out purple i cleared it.

There damaged from the inside. I just want them where it slightly hides the sun damage which is near impossible when the lights are on.

^^ that looks perfect. . I like how the red is showing so i can still keep my red bumper inserts. I think the 2nd tint % is perfect from the top. (how its gets darker as you go down the light)

Get some 800,1200,1500,2000 grit sand paper and go to town with wet sanding them. Give them an IPA wipe down and apply the lens tint. Less than $30 to do this.

I recently redid mine with the Rustoleum lens tint, it definitely seems to have less of a purple color than the VHT. Are you prepping the lenses well? could you post a pic?

Heading to the u pull junkyard again to see if i can find some perfect looking 96-98 lights. They have 1/2 price today with a sale promotion going on also. Might get some cheap instead of dealing with these sun damaged tail lights anymore
