I have a steel valve cover I use to adjust valves on the occasion I don't mind the mess. Lifters are pumping up, my valve train geometry is all correct, and working correctly. Oil is coming up through that lifter just fine, through the pushrod, and covering the rocker like it should. Just likes to make noise.
I've pulled it apart so many times, and am fairly unhappy with the motor with the way it came together, that if it blows up, then thats fine. I'll just take the time and do it differently. Essentially saying, oh well fook it and let it ride. Just a car, just a motor. If it blows up, I'll probably find me a bronco roller motor, throw a decent cam in it, set of decent iron heads, my intake and headers, ignition and just stab it in for now. Rebuild the 69 block or buy a crate motor when that one goes. I may as well snatch it completely back out if I pull the intake off again, considering it'll be the 4th or 5th time now. No sense in chasing the uncatchable. lol.
