Alright i finally got the vortech installed and boost gauge hooked up, and this is what i see...
At idle it sits at 15 mm vacuum, and cruising it raises to 17. Boost in first gear, i only saw 1 psi, and i saw it go up to 6 psi MAX, at one point but i dont know if it held.
The car has compressor surge when holding steady throttle in neutral, and between shifts, or when i rev it and let off.
Are my readings normal? I have an ebay type s knockoff BOV(recirculated, larger spring taken out, set at softest setting) i think may be causing some issues. Here are my mods.
97 gt, PI heads, cams, intake vortech v2 stock pulley, cx racing FMIC, stock injectors, stock MAF, x pipe, and catback. I dont have a tune and im using the FMU.
Also it seems to be running really rich, i can smell unburned fuel, and it surges, bucks when crusing part throttle at like 2000 RPMS.
