Wouldn't surprise me if it was done hastily. You'd think they wouldn't rush since my dad does business with them. Welllllll

I hear bumps a little more but I believe it's on me for not replacing the strut mounts with the struts. Might have shot myself in the foot there.

Guys guys alignment specs do not make a vehicle wander. A sloppy steering shaft will, makes it like driving a tractor.

Negetive caster or caster that is too far negetive off spec will make it want to "dance" left to right on road surfaces

A long highway run over the weekend revealed what the problem might really be.

Went to the Fall Show/Swap Meet at Englishtown yesterday, almost the entire trip is on the Garden State for me, some parts are OK and others suck. Judging by the way the car slammed into bumps and all, I think the problem *might* really be the tires. I'm running near-new Cooper Zeon CS3's at 33 PSI, and at that setting, these tires behave exactly like the OE Gatorbacks. Skittish, hard riding, unpredictable, I don't think I can pin it down to alignment alone. Put it this way, what irritates me a little in a 10 mile ride to work totally pissed me off after 80 miles one-way on the highway. My wife couldn't wait to get out, hell for that matter neither could I.

No play in wheel but occasional vibration 40-50 mph

Ball joints and inner/outer tie rods have about 1k on them. Moogs all around.

Still a groaning sound through the column and slightly increased resistance/rough feeling maneuvering at low speed, like 3 pt turns. This was present BEFORE all work performed.

What size are you tires? Width? My car will wonder like a ***** in road grooves with 265s on the front, heck it did it when I had 255s.

Stock size, 245/45/17. I might have the stock-est car here, hell still have the air silencer in lol... Harder to sell it modded, most guys would look for a clean stocker to start from.

Alright guys, really listened tonight. You hear the groan at low speed (in or out of a parking space) as you get within a turn of full lock. Still that damn shimmy in the wheel. Dammit.

Ideas?

its common for them to go out. You can weld your OEM one to a solid unit, or you cna buy a solid unit from griggs, MM, etc.

Cool! I wish I would have thought of that last week when I had it all out. I ran out of money before I could get the MM shaft. This would have been an easy fix!
