Hi,
Well let’s get right into it. I have a 1994 5.0 GT T5 with 164k on the clock (my guess is it broke there and is more around the 170+ mark) car was originally bought as a Turbo LS Swap car. I still have the 5.3 and a 4l80e but haven’t pulled the trigger on it yet and am leaning towards keeping the 5.0 in the car because honestly I’m lazy and don’t have time to really tackle a swap. If I can’t get it done in a few weekends or at least show progress I’ll probably lose interest. I had some recent life events as well that have changed my outlook on pretty much everything so I’m going to finally give this thing some attention but don’t really have a lot of cash to throw at it all at once either.

I know current issues are power steering rack needs replaced, (inner and outer tie rods as well) and needs new steering shaft as the rag joint is toast. So if anyone knows of the end all be all on the power steering rack let me know
I replaced the fuel pump after a no start event (aero motive 340lph) and some intermittent power loss while under load at between 2k-3k. This problem actually still exists but I haven’t changed filter or checked plugs/distributor yet so it could still be anything.
It has a backyard special exhaust that is actually currently broken but I don’t have a welder to fix so gotta wait till I buy a cheap one or use a buddies.
Motor is the original 5.0 I believe. Smog deleted. Sounds like it might have a cam but hard to tell and I haven’t looked at the heads but it’s probably bone stock. Pulls feel good in the 1-2-3 range (I never really get the power loss here it’s more in the cruise range).
Car has a horrible spray paint job but I would like to maybe re paint her this winter if I keep her. IMG_1605.jpeg

We all watching. You got a good starting platform for whatever you end up building. And like most of us(especially me)you have priorities and the toy projects take a back seat till the time fits. So keep us updated!
