I just picked up a 96 GT and it doesnt have foglight and I would love to add them. I was told that the car came with with the wires pre ran and all I had to do was add the switch and lights them selfs. I searched on here and didnt find anything so I hope someone can confirm what I was told.

we can't tell you what your car came with, its 15 yrs old and god only knows what it came with or what has been done to it. You would have to stick your head in the car and look for the wiring in order to know if its there. It may or may not be but you will not know until you look.

Like I said I have been told ALL Mustangs come pre wired for foglights and Im sure someone know if thats the case or not. As far as sticking my head in the car and looking, I would have to rip the center console out and look for a harness just about take the front bumper off.

actually, removing the console is quite easy
and you shouldn't need to pull the bumper to find the wiring.
The 94 and 95's had a model called the GTS which is basically a stripped down v6 body with a v8 under the hood. (no spoiler, no fogs, manual windows, v6 interior).
The 96-98 had a similar option but it wasn't called a GTS.
I would think for ease of assembly and cost all GT wiring harnesses would be the same. Just the unused pigtails would be tied up out of the way.

That base option is must be what my car is. I wanted all the options but when I found the this car I couldnt pass on it because its was 100% stock, clean as a pin, with only 57,000 miles.

The console wiring should be there, its a grey plug. Hell, even the coupes have the convertible plug in them!! As for the fog lights themselves, just stick your head up under there and see what you can find!

you have to get under, and up into the bumper. If the wiring is there, I'm not sure where it'd be hidden. If the switch is there, I bet you could look into just getting the extra harness, it might just plug in somewhere.
