Weatherstrip questions

I noticed a gap in the drivers side “top of door “ weatherstrip. The piece that starts adjacent the side mirror, goes across the top of the glass, then does a 90* down the A-pillar and attaches on the B-pillar just in front of the quarter window. I will likely replace both sides to help insure a good seal on both sides.

A little spider did me the favor of building a web across the top to notify me! Thanks, Spidey!

Anyway, my questions are these:
1. Has anyone replaced these recently?
2. Ford or LMR brand?
3. Any hints/pointers you recommend on the installation?

Many thanks!
Daryl

It's super easy to swap them out. I took mine off when I replaced my C-pillars/Sail panels.
They just pop out and pop in.

Good news, thx! I figured it’d be pretty simple and straightforward. Confirmation helps!
Do you happen to recall the brand? And your satisfaction with it? Did you use any weatherstrip adhesive?

I would recommend the OE seals, but boy are they expensive.

RH seal

LH seal

TascaParts.com does show each seal right at about $100 each, but not sure if they are discontinued and NPD just has old stock. Would need to order and see if they ship it.

I believe the reproduction seals are made by Daniel Carpenter and i haven't heard good things about them. But, i haven't used the DC seals on an SN95 either. I've used them on Fox and hit or miss depending on which seal it is.

Thx 5L5. Similar price to the Ford one offered at LMR, but LNR a tad cheaper (not by much, though!).
$135 LH Ford brand
$150 for both sides LMR brand

I even tried Steele Rubber, but they don’t offer it.

Shipping to me is $28. I used promo code BOB1952. So $240 for OEM and $150 for LMR. Your call really.
