I just installed a new clutch quadrant, fire wall adjuster and cable on my 97 gt and I tried to start it and take it for a spin. But the car won’t start. The battery is fine ( I started it before I started 5 mins before working on it) and there’s a plunger sensor right under the bottom of the quadrant and when the pedal isn’t being touched and I turn the key the fuel pump and everything else comes on but as soon as I touched the pedal it won’t start. Absolutely nothing. I think the sensor or whatever it is has something to do with the cruise control or a kill switch bc the car was built to drag before I bought it. If anyone knows what the problem is it would be a huge help.

Just guessing but I believe that’s the neutral safety switch. If it’s not pushed in it’s not going to send power to the starter.
