So I have a 1996 mustang gt. I want to change up the exhaust. So i was thinking of getting some mufflers to weld in. What is a good semi cheap muffler that i can weld in that would make it sound good? Also can i just cut out the old ones and weld in new ones, or can do i need to take out the entire catback to weld them in. Thanks.

Summit sells a turbo muffler that will sound like that. I think the mufflers are about 39 bucks a pop. something around there. Otherwise just look in the classifieds cause were always switching them out to get a different sound. I am still in a toss up as to what i want.

looking for more of a loud but deep sound

Just throw some dumps on there then you will have your Loud and Deep sound. If you drive on the highway though expect to hear a nice drone.

hmmm, i like the sound of Magnaflow XL Turbo Mufflers. can i just cut out the old mufflers and have a friend weld in the new ones, or do i need to take out the whole cat back to have it welded in? Also will i still pass emissions with these? thanks

if you want a louder car then just simply change the mid pipe and keep the stock mufflers. they will sound better than some magnaflows or slp loudmouths. as far as the mid pipe is concerned i would go with an x pipe
