weld on some dumps

well i welded on dumps to my flows yesterday. i just tacked them on because i didnt know if i would like how loud it would be on the highway. well, they are only louder from about 1000 rpms to 2000 rpms and everywhere else i think they are quieter. plus, i took it out on the highway and now there is no drone when i cruise at 70 like there used to be. anyone else's dumps seem quieter than tail pipes or am i just imagining this?

nope, your not imaginin things. i run LM1's and its not nearly as loud as everyone thinks with the dumps

I wouldn't go so far as to say that my dumps were quieter than the tail-pipes, its just a different kind of noise.
I enjoy not looking at the tails, and it gives the exhaust a deeper tone. It also helps to not have them angled directly at the ground, mine are turned slightly toward the side of the car.

mine are stupid loud, but they are mac pro dumps, no welding nessesary, and the 2 chamber flows i had with 2 1/4 tails got nothin on these :wall:

yeah it still gets loud at wide open but seems to be quieter when just cruising

I've got magna flow's going into dumps, I think it's not too loud at all, sounds nice.

I had Magnaflow mufflers, but blew a hole in the back of one during a track day; switched th Dynomax Super Turbos to quiet it down.

I had mac pro-dumps. I liked it alot when I first put them on. After about 8 month of listening to all the vibration in the cab, I got the mac tail-pipes and welding them on.

I've been wanting to do this for years but i just can't bring myself to cut up my Borla catback just in case i don't like it.
