ya know its funny, I opened my mouth about never getting a ticket for It and yesterday I was Driving around in my Cousins Trans Am and got a ticket. lol He has the tag under the seat b/c he didnt want to take the filler plate off of the front of his car. I was in VA Beach and got pulled over by a cop that apparently knew the car. If i went to court I know i could get it dropped but a $25 ticket isn't worth me missing a day of work

I saw a neat flip up bracket at Moss Muscle that might be adaptable to our cars..optional electric flip up model with remote pushbutton...it mounts on the bottom of the front fascia...just an idea possibly

Mine already had holes on the bumper when I got it so I put it on recently with the custom plates...I'm getting used to it.

Required in illinois but they wont pull you over for not having one. I only got a ticket for it because i was speeding in a loud car lol. So he got me for speeding and no front plate. Other than that.. follow rules and NO1 will bother you.

P.C. that is all that is needed to pull you over ! So make things easy on yourself and check with your state vehicle codes and be legal, its just not worth the headaches. If you drive like a knucklehead this is just an open door... towards more grief. Anyways, this was not intended to the poster just giving you all free advice because in the long run it will catch up to you !

i get pulled over at least 3 times a month because of front plate...cops on ling island dont care too much for my exhaust sooo i just tell them the bracket broke of some stuff like that and my plate is in my window...so oink oink

I don't know what your mods are but almost everything is illegal in VA so a front plate might be the least of your worries. For Example:

? 46.2-1049.

No person shall drive and no owner of a vehicle shall permit or allow the operation of any such vehicle on a highway unless it is equipped with an exhaust system in good working order and in constant operation to prevent excessive or unusual levels of noise; provided however, that for motor vehicles, such exhaust system shall be of a type installed as standard factory equipment, or comparable to that designed for use on the particular vehicle as standard factory equipment. An exhaust system shall not be deemed to prevent excessive or unusual noise if it permits the escape of noise in excess of that permitted by the standard factory equipment exhaust system of private passenger motor vehicles or trucks of standard make.

Yeah you read that right your exhaust has to be stock or at least not be any louder than stock. I get pulled over for this (among other imp. equipment tickets) a lot, but since I have NC tags I usually don't get a ticket.

Yeah i am trying to find a set of Mufflers right now also. I am thinking trying to find Bassani BX and throw them on there. I have a Catco H pipe with 2 High flow cats. So that paired with a Set of Bassani should sound pretty damn good i think and not be too loud. Or i could go with a Magnaflow Side Exhaust? HMM now decisions need to be made.
