The aluminator is forged, so yes.
My motor spun a bearing.
The rebuild head work is $600. Waiting on a quote on opening up the exhaust ports though.

I know you're on a budget, but i would look into C-heads. For the price to work your heads, you are almost at the price for 03+ heads. Put your stock cobra cams in that and you'll make great power. Selling your 96-98 Intake should offset the cost of a 99+ intake since they usually go for about the same. Modify your stock rails, of spend a little dough and get aftermarket ones with the fitting that adapt to the stock fuel lines, and you're all set. Just my opinion and food for thought.

Believe me, i considered the c's. yes, i can grab a set for about the same $600. But you are not factoring in the other $600 to have THOSE heads redone as well.
No way am i putting used heads on a brand new short block

What about them? LOL What did he say?
I plan on getting the $600 rebuild (upgraded guides) through MHS, along with having the exhaust ports opened up to 03/04 C head specs.

Should give me a little more performance, from what I've read.

Nothing yet with the old block/crank. You interested?

ALL of the early issues have been taken care of with the Aluminator. I made damn sure of that before I ordered anything.
