My transmission went to be with sweet little 10 lb baby jesus this morning... On my way home from work this morning, my tranny decided it was time to give up on it's last life... so I was able to limp the car home in 3rd gear, and park it... had to take out a loan to get a new tranny though. luckily my wife and I's credit is outstanding, so we were approved right away, now i just need to find one. I'm looking for a used or rebuilt T5... or possibly having mine rebuilt depending on the price. anyways, yup... she's dead in the driveway for now. luckily my mom is already halfway here from Texas, so we'l be able to use her minivan to get to and from wherever, and it just so happens i'm on leave starting wednesday, so i should be able to find a new tranny, and install it this upcoming week... lucky,lucky me :nonono:

I found an Astro Performance rebuilt T5, and got him down to $600 with no shipping cause he's in S.C. and it happens that my mom is driving right through where he's at. so she's picking it up for me on Tuesday. so the car should be running again next weekend. it's a pain in the ass... but atleast i got a new tranny... shouldn't have to worry about it now. it SHOULD last me till i build my new motor, in which case i'll have to upgrade to a bigger better TKO anyways... so this should work for me for about the next 3-4 years. :thumb:

The Budget doesn't allow for a G-force or TKO. i got a rebuilt T% for $600, no shipping. just got to get a new clutch for it. should be in the car next saturday.

It's a little more than most T5's, but is was rebuilt with the Astro performance internals, so i's good up to 450hp suppsoedly. i don't need anything major, my mods are on the small side. Won't be getting into anything as far as new Engine, or H/C/I until next year about this time, when i'm back in Houston. i just need something to get me to and from work for now.

actually, its nearly double a stock used T5... but... you say its built, so i assume its by a reputable tranny guy... so good deal... O0

is it the astro "a5" t5. it is astro performances version of the gforce t5 and supposed to be better than gforce so if you got one for 600 thats a hell of a deal. but i doubt it is :dunno:

He just told me it was rebuilt with the upgraded Astro performance parts. at this point i don't care. i didn't have any luck anywhere else, other than a Tremec for $1300, but it needed a clutch and shifter. this is $600, and looks brand new. i'll go with it for now... i'm going to take my old one, and try to rebuild it myself... i'm going to use it as a learning tool.
