you do relize that the pi cams aren't designed for superchargers and it won't make nearly as much power as the blower cams...
Of course not it's just a stock cam, but will still give gains over the NPI cams

Do you care to give Tim a call and tell him this? I was on the phone with him for an hour and money/power gains it doesn't even compare. He told me with his blower cams i could expect about 30rwhp. He told me if i do PI cams that i can expect about 20-25rwhp. So, its either spend $800 on blower cams, or $100 ish on PI cams. He told me if i had a built motor yeah go with blower cams. But just to max out my block for now all i will need are PI cams. From the money im saving on the cams i can get them installed.

I paid $20.00 for my PI windsor cams. The reason most people want Romeo cams is so they can use the timing chain tool that holds the timing chain in place. The install takes longer with the windsor cams but in my eyes you are allot less likely to foul up the timing.

... well, i'm not saying anything out the way or anything but, my friend in my car club has a 00 gt with a novi 2000 and when he put blower cams in his car from the stock pi he gained over 35 rwhp ...

thats going from pi to blower cams... 35 rwhp... maybe thats what he means?

He's limited by his stock NPI heads right now, and stock PI cams are pretty decent specs. That's why.

You know, people nearly give away NPI head's, you could always grab a set and send them into Steen, it was 700 buck's last time I checked. That would bump you up pretty good, get cams next year (pi's now of course).

Head's are the limiting factor on all these motors, NPI or PI.

well i honestly think after the cams that i will be in the 390-400rwhp range. Thats as high as i want to go on this stock bottom end so it works out perfect. I just bought a set of PI cams from DSS Racing. $115 shipped for BRAND NEW Romeo ones, couldnt pass it up. Now i gotta order my Team Breed valve covers and get everything done.

are you doing the install yourself?

I will be doing mine in the next couple months. I will probably start looking to buy in early Feb. Anyone have any tips on where to get the ford cam tool? ReivaxTorres said he would ship me his and let me use it for free if I pay for shipping. I may just do that.

It's an OTC tool, so you can try them or the Ford dealer, but they discontinued it I think. Snap on carries OTC tools and Snap On brand copies.

Best bet, borrow Reviaxtorres'

yeah man you can't go wrong only paying for shipping. Im not going to be installing the cams myself, im going to have a shop do it. I would, but theres no way i want to start messing with the piping to the intercooler and everything. Just a huge hassle.

sorry i'm late to this thread, you should keep an eye out for a set of used Houston Performance Blower Cams 292S they are just reground PI cams that are better for a blower... i see them go for $200-250 usually and will get you more HP then the stock PI's for just a few more bucks....if you find a set you can just sell your PI's for what you paid for them.
