After talking with a few guys on here about installing fox body long tubes i had confidence that these would fit without much trouble; to say the least they don't fit. I think it may be because everyone i talked to had 1 5/8 headers and mine were 1 3/4, i don't know. First thing i noticed was i had to remove the clutch fork cover to get them to bolt into place. After they were bolted in the steering shaft would not reconnect. I unbolted the header and lifted it up to make room to connect the steering. After the steering was connected the header would not fit back into place. I didn't even bother with the passenger side at that point. I'm not one that likes to bang and bend stuff to make parts fit so i'm just going to resell them and buy some for a 94/95 i guess...

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up, too bad too cause after a little polish they looked pretty sharp!

Probably start around $300, I'd like to get most of the money back that I have into them. You want them for your '94?

1 5/8" would be more than enough dude. 1 3/4 is for big power. 1 5/8 will support 500HP without issue.

How much are you looking to make?

Well I heard either size would be fine and I liked the look of these so i got them. Telling me I shouldn't have got them now doesn't really help me ya know?

500hp would be good, anywhere in that neighborhood and I'll be plenty happy.

thanks for the heads up

You never asked me lol. I went back to stock shortys. Before, I was counting HP and TQ numbers like the plague but anymore I'm pretty much looking for a laid back, decent gain, easy install approach to everything.

i didn't have a problem with my fox 1 5/8 bbk longs on the drivers side. i think i have a fox bellhousing though. the passenger side was a huge pain to get it but they do fit. very very tight, but they fit.

so are you getting MAC?

good possibility.

Yes shorties are obviously easier to install and work around but just from what I saw on installing the drivers side LT is it really wasn't that big of a deal. I mean people are always so quick to say OMG long tubes suck to install etc but I'm really not thinking that's the case. Sure they're harder than shorties, but shorties suck in comparison. After having these long tubes i cannot see going back to running my shorties, so i'm looking for a 94/95 headers now.

They aren't to hard to work around, it's just compared to shorties its night and day. Went from longtubes back to shorties and the cars easy to work on now.

I have always said...

I'll give up the 10 HP and gain torque in the mid-range for clearance anyday.

More room and less heat is never a bad thing.

Why would you lose mid range torque with LT's ?
