What are 94-95 V8 Engine Brackets Worth?

I have two or three complete sets of 94-95 V8 engine accessory brackets with tensioners, and I'm trying to figure out what to sell them for. I've not seen a TON of them available online.

Do you think I can get $100 for a complete set with the tensioner? Do you think people would pay more for a set of powdercoated ones? Mustang people are typically cheap bastards so I don't know if it will be worth the effort.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

I have a bunch of stuff to unload for my friend (who's doing the LS1 SN95 mustang swap) so I'm trying to get decent money for it.

you should powder coat all of them, looks like you cleaned up that transmission very well the other day, maybe you can come across someone that wants to make their engine bay look really nice and will just buy them because they look so nice.

I thought about it - but coating all that stuff takes significant time and effort. (not to mention electricity to run my huge compressor and oven) I don't know if it's worth it if it only increases the value $20.

Hey paul I might jump at this, but one quick question.... what color coating do you think would look good with a black TFS intake and valve covers?
This would be for my white car which I'm trying to keep understated, yet nice looking even when dirty since I dont obsessively scrub everything sterile on it.

Well, I have four different shades of black - so I'm sure one of them would match what you have. I also have silver, chrome, charcoal grey metallic, gunmetal gray metallic, black chrome, and ....

hmmm, ok... let me think on that. How much do think those brackets/tensioner weigh? Trying to guesstimate how much it be to ship them here...zip code 91750.
Edit - a 351 swap takes our stock brackets doesn't it??

I just weighed them - 14 pounds for the two big brackets and the tensioner. You can check shipping - my zip is 85308.

Yes, they will work on a Windsor swap - I use them on mine.

Also, if you're doing a Windsor swap, I have a bunch of windsor swap parts for sale - TFI distributor, GT40 intake, distributor shaft, widened fuel rails (for 94-95), SVO TB adapter and 65mm TB. I'm selling a bunch of stuff for my friend who took a 393 out of a '94 in favor of an LS1.

Which swap? You mean on my convertible? That's been done for a long time - but I had problems with the clutch so I sent it back to McLeod to get rebuilt and have the discs resurfaced. I got it back, and it's sitting on my shelf. I've not worked on it for almost a year. I'm trying to get the notch running first, then back to the convertible.

ooooOOOOOoooohhh. :hammer:

Sorry, your memory fails when you inhale too many powdercoating fumes. :rollinglaugh:

The motor and tranny are in. He's trying to figure out how to wire the computer so the ABS and everything still works.

Plus, he has an 810 rwhp turbo LS1 camaro and a 430 rwhp GTO that keep him busy. In fact, he's putting twin GT28Rs on the GTO now. He's a crazy sumbitch. :uglystupid2: :hammer:

He doesn't really have deep pockets. He's had that camaro for a LOOOOONG time, and has been building it since then in various forms. His GTO is his daily driver. Also, he makes a little extra money because he basically tunes damn near every fast LSx in Phoenix. He's probably one of the best tuners in the southwest united states when it comes to GM stuff. He'll be updating the tune on my AEM when I put my T-Trim on.

Paul, the tensioner is probably about $60.00+ alone. I paid $85.00 for my 4.6 4v.

Holy crap! Wow, I didn't know they were that expensive. I guess that's good though for me. I've been powdercoating tons of crap for my good friends lately, and I need some money to pay for all this electricity and supplies! :uglystupid2:

i want the bracketry for my 351, how much for the dizzy and bracketry, paul?

Do you already have 94-95 brackets? I'd give you a discount if you sent me your old ones.

Let me look around for a price on the distributor. Or if you can find a few references and give me a fair price - it's yours.

Paul there are a few on eBay right now, maybe watch a few auctions and see what you could get for them.

Really? I must have missed them. I looked yesterday. I'll try to look again. Do you have any links?

Thanks guys.

Paul.
