Comp XE272's I think that is the correct grind number, its the middle cam of the 3 that is made by comp.

So you still have the stock NPI heads?
If so you'll need NPI specific cams...
Crower has some nice NPI cams...VT sells them.

Yep, I'm with Droptop,
from what I've read Crower makes a great NPI cam.

idk comp makes some pretty good npi cams as well like the XE278H's those are mean cams and not have PTV. I have the XE262AH's and love em ;D

depends on where you want the power,
mid or top, just how rough the idle is on a stage 3 ???

I'd call and ask them.

I talked with Jim at VT about the Crowers and he said the ST3 has a real nasty idle....i was considering the Crower blower cams but decided on the VT st2 blower cams because this will be a 99% street car. Still will have a nice lope at idle and then the blower whine will pickup from there.
I think st3 cams are too aggressive for most street cars especially a mildly modified one.

I would say top end power b/c I have the 4.10s in the rear so the car will be in the band quicker anyways. Personally i was thinking about the comp XE274H's.

Comp, Crower, or VT grinds - all are better than the stockers.

Just for fun, here's a clip of my powerheads stage1 cams,
we just installed them, first time startup, not tuned yet.
this is 3 yrs ago.

Cams and intake are my next mod also.
Im planning on getting the comp 268H cams, and a PI intake from work.
That should put me a tad over the headswap mustangs.... :thumb:
