Maybe I'm just having one of those days but what do you guys think... Should I sell the 95 gts?

Before everyone jumps in here and says, "you're crazy, don't sell" ...

here are some reasons.

1. I've always been in love with notchbacks, so I would probably find one. It would be a project car though.

2. Possibility of moving into a new place, could use the money.

3. I'm in between jobs/ self-employed/ don't have a job right now/ thinking about going back to school. again, could use the extra money.

4. I have a baby on the way. Another reason to have the money instead of a toy car.

5. The jeep is my dd so I have a vehicle.

Second, if it were your car, what would be your asking price?

95 GTS, 53k miles.

Vortech v2 s-trim
and a blingin engine bay

mod's don't tend to increase the value of the car so I won't list everything.

With a child coming soon, sounds like you may need to. Just do yourself some soul searching. You'll do the right thing.

I would say don't sell it i think you would be sorry. If you could find a nice Notch then that would be a fun car. I wouldn't even know where to start with on what price if you were to sell it. Maybe 8k ??

Your car is too sexy to sell... :notworthy:

I would think you could get 10k from the right buyer?

:icon_rr: Yes, Its a Notch Thing... In all reality you can get ahead with everything that you are doing in your life and that is the most important thing ! A nice 4 banger Notch might also be a better choice instead of a beatdown one that will nickle and dime you along the way. If you need any insight just PM me about anything. I have (2) SN95's and my Notch so have a bit more on the subject than some. D

thanks for the quick response guys... some good advice already.

I really like your thinking prokiller, that sounds like a great idea. This would assure me that I get right back into another car, versus selling my gts and waiting who knows how long to find something i'm interested in... and possibly loosing interest, or the funds, for another car.

I would agree with you as well dstrbd. I've been able to manage everything life has thrown at me up untill this point. There is no doubt that I could get through all of this and keep the car, but I'm the type of person who always wants to be doing something with the car. Having a little more affordable project just seems logical right now.

this car would be missed, I've put a lot of "blood, sweat, and tears" into this thing.

Sell it.

I'm going to be taking apart my convertible to focus on my notch. Life goes on.

you should trade me your wheels for my Chrome Saleens before you sell it... pleaseee!!

If i was able to financially be able to afford two cars, i would pick this up. but i tried having two mustangs at once already, and it just doesn't work having two cars that can do the same thing. Good luck with whatever you decide though.

Parting some things out would be another thing to consider but I just don't know if I would want to deal with all the shipping and the hassle.

Unless you really need the money, I say keep it.

You're never gonna get back the time/money you invested in the car. Im assuming its 100% paid for, so you're not losing money on it (other than reg & insurance). Plus summers right around the corner. You know you're gonna miss the hell out of it on those nice nights you could be cruising. Not too mention if the Jeep ever needs a repair, BAM, you got a backup. :icon_rr:

If its paid off dont sell it. It wont cost you anything to keep it and leave it parked. If you sell it b/c you "need the extra money" for something then ask yourself when are you ever going to not need extra money for something? Once its gone there is no guarantee you will get another one but I will guarantee that you will kick yourself in the ass for doing so once its gone. First hand experience.

I can't offer any advice you need to listen to, 1st off! I really wouldn't like for you to sell it. Looks like you've spent quite a lot & time getting it how you want it. There is no way you will ever get close as far as your $ back. If you find a Mustang lover, you might? But, if you need to get rid of it for more important things is different! I'd sell it right away! Just try to think hard as you go over your options! Wish I could buy it, no way that's possible.

Honestly, in my opinion you should sell the jeep. Sell the jeep for a notch, or just buy a notch. I mean notches are easily obtainable. I've seen 5.0 notches run from $200 dollahs, all the way to a massive we just want this piece of junk out of our yard give away price. I mean, some day I might buy a notch, because for some reason I like the ugly little car... don't know why... just do.

If you want to sell your mustang, you can, but I say sell the jeep... It's ok to drive mustangs daily... unless it's prone to breaking down all the time, then i'd have to throw the useless piece of junk in a river.

just put whats more important in front of you and make a decision that would better you in the long run. Like right now I am selling my car so I can get through college without having a car payment, and when I get out I'm gonna get something better (when I land a job that is). Theres always going to be something else out there that you might want too. If you do happen to sell it then id say $10,000, maybe 8 the lowest

I'm just going through a lot of big decisions, so I try to look at all the options.

I have my bachelor degree, but with the economy in the pooper it seems wise to just go back to school... at the same time it's hard to justify going back to school when I feel that I should start providing for my family and get a real job.

More than likely I wouldn't be able to sell the car because I would ask too much and not be happy with any old clunker of a notch. Selling the blower and my polished intake is something I've even considered. That intake alone took days to finish, but should be worth some money... I could go back to the stock stuff and work on a new combo down the road.
