what exhaust?

Im getting ready to get exhaust for my car but im a loss on what to get.i originally planned on getting corsa db, but i can get a whole cat back of other brands for the same price.

i want mellow a cruise but loud when you step on it.
I have a 1998 4.6 with stock headers, and h pipe.i dont really plan on headers or a h pipe/x pipe any time soon.

suggestions and sounds clips would be great.

The flowmasters drone. But I like it. My friend with Borla's said his do not drone. I just ordered a UPR O/R X and Magnapacks. The louder the better for me. I don't care if I can talk in the car. If I wanted or cared about sound or ride quality I wouldn't of bought a Mustang.

Just check out youtube, however I find the best thing to do is go to a track or find someone with the a exhaust. Cars sound much better in person.

Flows with an o/r h here, and I like the way mine sounds. Have had strangers stop and tell me it sounds great, too. It is loud, tho.

i just put on a set of 2 1/5" pypes violators cat backs on. i'm totally satisified. stainless from muffs to tips. flow through muffs too. as an added plus they're on the lower end of the cost scale from summitt racing( it's 5 miles from the house). back on topic, the sound is quiet at idle and deff gets louder with more throttle. not raspy at all either. mine is a 5.0 though. ck sig for exhaust mods. i'll try to get a vid up if i can

Flomasters drone, they are chambered mufflers.

Borla, Magnaflow, Bassani, Corsa do not drone.

if your just going to add a catback you wont feel anything. Your car comes with 6 cats on it, get a catted mid pipe if your concerned about loudness, the stock exhaust doesnt sound so bad when the cats are removed, check out youtube for soundclips

correct you are (bbk) but in Ga we have emission testing and one of the things they look for is the presents of cats. if they're not there then you fail. any pics of new cats always show only 2 for the 302s. i did the headers myself and the stock ones didn't have any cats on them either. so the only thing it could be is the cali tree huggers doing it i could be wrong

dude, f the bullshit and get a dr gas x pipe and a set of spintech prostreets. you will have the meanest and most unique sounding mustang in your town guaranteed. if you dont have the money for both then save up for it. dr gas x pipe is worth the extra money despite what a few ignorants may say.
