What is this hanging from my mach 460 rear deck (TTOCS I need you lol)

yes its a line out converter. Takes a speaker level output and converts it to an rca level for amps.

Hmmmm so what, it makes it so I dont have to pull the deck to install a sub and amp?

thats correct. It will not be as clean sounding as a good aftermarket deck with rca outs but it would work.

hmmm well since you're in here I might as well throw you another question,

1.If I get aftermarket deck, with this line out thing I would only need 2 rca outs, but normally i'd need 3? To tap into the mach 460 system and run a 10" sub? I know the adapters are run off the rca's.

2. I think one of my rear amps is dead, will this cause the other one to mess up aswell? Basically what im experiencing is the drivers side amp in the rear, when plugged in, makes no noise from the front speakers, unless I push it in kinda hard but then its distorted. The passenger side amp is kinda the same,if you push it in good, it works for a while, but the rear speakers play fine when its workin, but then say you hit a decent size bump or sometimes it doesnt even take that, you lose all the bass from the rear.

This is extremely frustrating for me, because it could be working for a while then in the middle of the highway, viola no bass. Grinds my gears.

there are a number of ways to run it but if you are replacing the deck then forget about that thing honestly. Not sure if it is bothering the other amp, could be...

Don't you have to pull the deck anyways for the remote wire.

one amp under the head unit powers all tweets, front and back
one amp in the back powers the front subs and the other powers the back subs

hello, i just installed an aftermarket radio, but now my alarm wont work. i have no keyless entry or can pop the trunk or panic button. i need keyless entry cuz my keys don't unlock the doors only trunk, lol. all my fuses under dash work. i would appreciate any help thanks

Hey brad i have a set of amps for sale on ebay if your interested. they are from a 96 mustang cobra convertible but the amps are the same from car to car just the wiring was changed. heres a link
