What kind of power would I hit with this set up?

If I do the non-intercooled vortech and 30-42lb injectors and a 190-255lph in-tank fuel pump with 3.73s in the rear on my 97 GT. What kind of power would I hit? Thats the set-up I want if I go boosted. If I go N/A I want to do a full PI swap and possibly get the heads ported before I install them then the same mods as above. What kind of power would that set-up possibly make? Both set-ups would also include a tune.

How man lbs of boost?

With 9lbs on the non P.I. setup you would realistically see around 280-300 rwhp.

With 9lbs and the P.I. swap you would realistically see about 330-350 rwhp

I've been told that with the vortech, injectors, fuel pump, lightning MAF, and a good tune that I should see around 325 at the wheels. Is this likely? I may possibly do cams too so which cams are the best for the money and how much more power will I have on the above setup if I do cams too? If I do a full N/A swap and do everything listed above except for the blower, then how much power should I see? I don't want to dump an enormous amount into this car, I just want it to have decent power for those nice weekends on backroads. I don't want an amazing car on the strip and chances are this car will never see a strip. I love hitting back roads and the feel of cornering is what I enjoy. So is my above idea a good and budgetable way to getting there or is there a better way? Also I refuse to run spray so please no one recommend it.

My car, with the mods in my sig and on 7 lbs of non-intercooled boost, made 325 on the wheels.

Fastlane knows how to tune a boosted car and i'd try and go with an intercooled kit if u can help it. keeps everything cooler and more efficient =ing more power. try and check in with them if you want info on a boosted engine and a good route to go with it

If you want something that is fun but not too fast, simply but the Vortech and throw it on the non P.I. engine.

So for what I desire should I do any supporting mods with the vortech, or do just the vortech? I don't want to put over $6000 into my car. The only thing I want to do to the exterior is black chrome FR500 wheels, a cowl hood, and possibly smoked tail lights to match my smoked headlights and corners and fogs I already have. I also have a 5000k HID hi/low kit from DDMtuning in it. I'm considering adding yellow fogs but I'm concerned it will make my car look rice, whats you guys opinion on that and my above setup?

If you do anything else open it up by putting exhaust on the car and may a plenum/throttle body.

For under 300hp just bolt the vortech on. It'll be fun but not for very long soon you will want more.

For your question as to what supporting mods to do with the supercharger:

PI cams are a really good idea. You can find them for <$50, and they're probably worth 30+ hp on a supercharged car.
Exhaust. Offroad pipe will be worth a solid 15 hp, maybe more, on a supercharged car. Can be had for <$150.
Simple intake stuff. My sig says cold air intake, but it's actually just a drop in K&N in the stock box, with a custom made 3" tube going from the MAF to TB. Throttle body probably isn't required, but I found a good deal on one ($100 shipped brand new), so I went ahead and got one.

If you are getting a centrifugal blower like Vortech, Paxton, Procharger, etc, go ahead and get a PI intake (<$200). That's probably worth 20 hp or more with a supercharger. My blower mounts in place of the lower intake manifold, so I didn't have to worry about getting one.

All that stuff and an intercooled Vortech at 9ish pounds and through a 5 speed would be good for a solid 350 rwhp, more than enough to keep you entertained for quite a while.

So you are looking at a total of less than $500 extra for supporting mods, yet will get 50-60ish more horsepower than you would without them.

^^^ x2 everything listed was said MULTIPLE times in his other thread about the same thing.

PI cams and intake are worth every bit of 35-50whp on a S/C'd car..... throttle body/plenum arent much of a restriction, but good for show pieces when swapped. exhaust makes a good bit of difference if going from the 6 cat mid pipe to o/r midpipe.

do you guys know of or have heard of the gas pedal sticking at low speeds when the pedal is mashed to the floor and only when the car is running? I checked my cable and floor mat so i know those aren't the problem. What could be the issue? It scared the crap out of me cause I put it to the floor to get into traffic and the damn thing stuck. Once I got home since I live on a small back country road I tried trouble shooting it on my road and it stuck everytime i put it to the floor but like i said above only at low speeds and when the engine is running. Also I pulled my throttle body off and cleaned it so i know the throttle body is not the problem neither.
