What other components to change out......

When changing the cam. I am talking about the parts that bolt onto the front of the engine. My water pump looks terrible, corroded and maybe I need a new thermostat. No problems with these but I don't really know if engine has 75,000 or 175,000 miles. Thoughts?

You'll want to replace the lifters if you're changing the cam. You'll want to get a new timing set as well.

Goes without saying gaskets all around as well while you’ve got parts stripped off. No better time.

I would consider swapping out the vac lines with that milage while things are out and easy. I was about to say inspect/replace but you will have problems seeing the really small stuff that will cause problems.
