I yanked out the speaker enclosure because the speakers sounded like shit, so I'm going to replace them. What size are they, and do I have to buy a separate tweeter? or can I buy something with a tweeter already on it?

6x8/5x7 you have to be careful because some aftermarket speakers dont use the same measuring system or they just dont care.
My old Pioneers fit fine..
My CDT Audio's did not.

You dont have to buy a component set(seperate tweeter)

What exactly are you planning on doing and what is your budget?

I just want to replace the speakers with something decent. I have a memphis sub with an earthquake power amp. I like quality something with 104 signal to noise ratio preferably that can handle atleast 50 watts. I was looking at some cerwin vegas. Any other suggestions?

If you want quality, you need an amp on your speakers. I have boston acoustics all the way around and a fosgate 400x4, and needless to say it sounds effing awesome with my subs. If you take your time and plan it piece by piece you will be extremely satisfied in the end. What I do when I plan on building a system is search on crutchfield.com read the reviews find what I want, then hit up eBay with the model number, and save at least half on things sometimes more. Good luck
