I want to clean up the threads of the head bolt holes and I need to know what size tap do I need to buy?
What size tap for the head bolt threads?

i'd just buy a tap set..it'll come in handy
^ Yeah. You can pick up a decent tap and die kit for pretty cheap. It's nice to have around the shop.

my old man is a machinist so idk where to get a cheap set from but i'm sure they're out there
I got mine at the zone. Got one in standard, and one in metric. Cost just under $50 for both sets.

Came in use when the speed sensor got stuck in the old lady's transmission on the escort. I had to drill into the sensor, tap it out. Put a long piece of threaded rod into it and then use a slide hammer to get the bastard out of there.
