whats faster?

What do you guys think is a faster car at the track,an H/C/I 302 5speed car with 3.73 gears and a 100 shot
or the same motor combo but with a 8-9 pound centri.? and will the centri make more hp ?

supercharger might make more peak hp , but the torque of the nitrous will beat it in an actual race 9 out of 10 times if its dialed in correctly

2002BLGT, how can you even answer that question at all? That question has waaaaaaaaaaay to many variables.

1.) Depends on the driver

2.) Depends on the tune of the car

3.) How much power is 8-9 PSI?

You may make 12PSI from an S-trim out of the box with a bone stock engine. Swap the heads and you'll make say...9??? and still go faster. Boost is just a measurement of resistance, not a measurement of power.

Best way to find out, go to the track and run it.

i can make 8 psi blowing through a straw. that won't do much for a motor :angel4:

psi at a specific cfm and adiabatic efficiency can better answer that question

decision and same car=same driver. so just in general what car is faster? didnt mean to push any buttons.lol.

Faster or not the supercharger is the best way to go, depends on what HCI you have you will have around 450 to the wheels and you never have to go get a bottle filled up, find a nice used s trim and go have some fun

the problem is the question is too vague.

same motor but 8-10 psi with what... i can tell you a a-trim at 10 psi will lose to the same car with a s-trim at 10 psi but yet will both beat the same car with a ysi at 10 psi.

and the ysi is a better blower

ysi take a lot more power to turn. its not in its sweet spot until its well over 20
