I have a 95GT with a fresh 331. I have trickflow efi manifold with a spacer. I needed the spacer because the EGR was hitting my valve cover without the spacer. So does anyone know if my stock hood will fit? I kinda would like to keep the stock hood if possible.

Your strut bar won't fit but I'm pretty sure your hood will. Also you will need to extend your egr tube if you still have it...Good Luck

I already had a hood on mine w/ a 2" clearance. I put my h/c/i combo together w/ a spacer on the intake and by the looks of it I think I'm glad I had the hood on it already because I don't thin it would have fit w/ a stock hood. If so I would have thrown my stock hood on in a heartbeat.

ya I don't care about the strut bar I know I will need a new one. I am concerned about the hood. I do not have EGR, I have a plate blocking it off and I think its the plate that actually will hit the valve cover if I didn't have the spacer.

It will be tight BUT if you've eliminated the EGR...there may be help. I did this on my edelbrock elbow....I assume you run the elbow correct? The bottom bolt that holds the EGR/EGR block off plate threads into that long "horn." I cut that off and ground it down smooth and made a block off plate out of thick steel. Made my own gasket, cover it in black silicon, and slapped it on. YES, only one bolt was holding the plate down BUT it holds it PLENTY tight to prevent vaccum leaks. In a boosted application, I'd do it again BUT, I'd fill the elbow's egr port with epoxy (jb weld) and smooth it out on the inside...and put the plate on there. Anyways, by smoothing out that bottom "knub" or "boss," you may be able to clear the valve covers without a spacer. That intake is BIG...but I think with only a 3/8th spacer, you should be good.

With the 3\8th you should be ok, my SVO intake [95 Cobra] rubbed slightly with the 1", as the Trickflow is only marginally taller than mine, you should clear with the 3\8 no worries.

My friend justin was running the 3/8" spacer, and he still had his stock hood. I have a 1" spacer... and there was no way in hell my stock hood was going to fit
