lol, not that you guys care or anything, but it's been a while since i've visited.

in a nutshell, the car was/is for sale -- looking to get either an 03-04 Cobra or 05+ GT, and if that's gonna happen w/in the next year, the 94 has to go. doesn't look like it is, though--partly because it's "scared" the two guys that have come to see it off, and because i don't want to get rid of it.

the cam, the reason for it being so radical is coming out. i bought a TFS stage 1 cam that will still put out a decent amount of power and will be very street friendly. i'm also thinking about finally putting up for installing the turbo my brother-in-law gave me a while back. now that i have a daily driver (another reason for the stang being on stand-still) i can afford to tinker with it and have it disassembled for long periods. not sure yet... either that, or go cheap and buy a Zex kit, heh.

bought a Jetta to drive to work in (1 hour to, another hour from work, daily) -- didn't want to put the stang through that.. lots of construction in the area, so..

i've had it for 3 months now and tried not to mod it, but we all know how difficult that is. i've only done a few things: dropped it w/ sportlines, replaced a bent wheel, projector headlights (not a fan of hte angel eyes, though) and an HID kit:

it's got the 1.8T (AWW ftl..) and gets pretty good mpg's. i can only imagine what the stang would be like if i do go w/ the turbo cause this little thing pulls pretty nicely. this is really what made me appreciate stock driveability, hence the reason for me ditching the NX282R cam and going w/ the TrickFlow.

here's the most recent pic of the stang w/ the side skirts and front bumper painted:
IMG_3485.jpg

i have to readjust the pass. side skirt, but i'm waiting on installing tips to do that -- gotta remove the wheels, so once it's on a lift, it'll be a lot easier to do. going to put the tremec 3550 (put in a t5 to help sell quicker) back in and get the cam in this weekend, hopefully, and either the Zex kit or turbo parts should start coming in w/in the next couple weeks or so. that, and i'm gonna finish up some odds/ends -- new lug nuts, maybe some subframes and decent tires for out back, and gonna work on getting it to pass inspection.

anyhow, good to see some familiar faces around here.

lol, thanks, gents.

1.8T = turbocharged, hehe. i have the AWW, which is only the 150hp version.. the newer one is 180hp =(. it's fine.. great on gas and pretty comfortable, so i can't complain.

"punisher" souds cool, but doesn't really fit me or the car... that implies that i'm riding around spanking people or running crazy-fast times, haha. blackened is what i'm trying to follow w/ the car -- blacking everything out.. the paint, the interior, the engine bay, wheels, etc..

you're right, Tony = i'd rather have mod money than payment money on a stock car, especially when i don't need to drive it daily. i may just bite the bullet and put together a turbo kit.. been wanting to do it for 2 years now.

I've recently joined while you've been MIA. I've seen your car plenty of times through out the net. I posted it on a local forum here in Kansas City to get some opinions on it. To be honest, I'd rather have your car w/ a turbo then a 03-04 Cobra. You're car is unique. If anything, get some more unique wheels and call it good. I bet some powder coated black SSR GT3s w/ a polished lip would look amazing on your car H:)H . Not to mention the insurance jump and back to another car payment "assuming your's is paid off". I'm putting so much time and money into my purple car, that I can't really justify selling it. But, that's just my opinion.

ha, don't know that you can compare my car to a Terminator.. i wouldn't dare. thanks, though--dem's some kind words.

i agree--i've done too much to sell it. i don't/didn't want to, but i feel it's time for an upgrade. guess i'll just be more patient. i'll keep saving for the wedding (like hell i'm letting someone else pay for it), then after that, a downpayment.

the wheels i definitely wanna change up. looking at something chrome/polished -- black wheels are very played out... lol, even cars other than black are getting them. i'm sick of them.. love the deep dish, though.. maybe some black chrome fr500's?

i hadn't thought about the insurance... it's kinda expensive right now (that's cause the stang isn't on that policy) so i can imagine what it'd be like w/ an 05+, much less a cobra. and hell yes not having a payment is nice! the stang, jetta, and fiance's scion are all paid off and we enjoy that.

i haven't decided whether to finally use the turbo i have or to just save some money and get a Zex kit. either way, i'm looking to up the power while keeping stock-like driveability the highest priority.

i appreciate the words, guys, thanks.

FR500's? :lame: I thought you said you didn't want something played out. I'd go with something a bit less common. Maybe some Blitz wheels, or SSR GT3s, or Deep Dish 10th anniversary wheels. Id keep them dark, it kinda makes your car. If not black, still something dark. If you decide to disregard the turbo kit, let me know. :coolsmiley: If the timing is right, I will be interested. Hell, throw it on the car, I may still be interested. :)

ha, true.. fr's are becoming almost as common as bullitts..

man, those gt3's are nice! found some replicas for $160 ea, i think it was. ha, i had told a buddy that i was gonna get them.. saw them on a black mach and it looked s1ck! great suggestion.

i don't have a kit -- all i have is the turbo itself. i had the injectors and MAF, but sold them.. no biggie, i'll just scavenge around again. only thing i'm worried about finding is a y-pipe -- i can't weld at all so i'd probably have to buy one.

Are you talking about a Y pip and not using a mid-pipe? If so, why in the hell would you do that? If anything, have the Y be right before the from A-arms so you can hook up a long-tube mid pipe. It will create more back pressure and sound a lot better.

Also, the SSR GT3s knock offs are ok, but search some used ones. Search on SVTperformance.com, those rich assholes are always changing wheels. The knock offs just look cheap in my opinion.

ahh yeah, very sicks set of wheels. i'll keep an eye out on svtp's classifieds--you're right, them rich mofo's are always changing wheels, heh.

the Y-pipe i'm talking about is for the turbo kit -- i'd only go single, so i'd need a pipe that connects both headers and has a flange for the turbo.
