Where should I mount my my EGT bung? Will it really be ineffective if I mount it in the midpipe? (No cats) --- Already has the the holes where my now turned off rear O2 sensors are.

And havent found much on where to mount my oil temp sensor at...... Ineffective if I mount it with a T like where I mounted my oil pressure sensor? (off where factory oil pressure sensor is)

Have heard of some tapping the oil pan to mount the sensor there

Oil temp goes in the pan. EGT is in the primary tube not too far from the cylinder head. Mount it where the instructions tell you to.

Do I have to tap the pan or can I buy a fitting to replace the normal oil drain plug? Since I want it by the sump correct?

I have no idea. Do the instructions shed light on the topic?

Autometer Phantom.

You know how ALL autometer gauges have the same instructions...... Just how to wire it up (not sure if the wideband is the same, havent gotten it in yet)

Call Autometer.

Why do you have an EGT gauge anyway if you're getting a wideband? And oil temperature? Is it a road racecar?

I've got big money in the motor and want to keep tabs.

All autometer Phantom with blue 5 leds to match the now blue gauge cluster:

-Mounted in the "factory" cd player slot:
Nitrous pressure
Fuel pressure
Water temp

-Either side of speedo/ factory gauge cluster:
Oil Pressure
Oil Temp

-Steering Column:
Wideband

-SOS Pillar:
Boost
Pyrometer
Raptor dual mode shiftlight (using raptor claw)

So its bright :) Looks great though

I mounted the ZEX window switch inside the center console, purge button mounted under the "accessory power outlet", N20 activation and Line lock are next to each other on the center console inbetween the edge of the cup holder and the bezel for the shifter.

Thanks for the help guys.

I downloaded the instructions on how to tap an oil pan off of Vortech (for their return oil lines)

Picked up the tap at Lowes, but they didnt have a 9/16" punch. Will try a bigger tool specialty store monday. Nervous about putting a hole in the pan, but I will do all the steps they list + use a magnet + run a jug of oil through it to make sure all debris is out
