I ordered an sct elim chip. Dude I know is going to tune it on the dyno. He has a tone of experience with sct and has all of the privledges or whatever. He has tuned a crapload of cars and never blown anything up on the dyno. Should be all good.

the tuner has very little to do with if it blows. He plays a part in it but it is more about how it was put back together. I paid a shop to install heads/cam in my car and took it in for a tune and watched it then chew up the crank/bearings. Sometimes they go, sometimes the blow....

I have wet kit to. With everything in my sig supporting it.. I wouldn't trust running 125-150 on stock motor for long.

Stock motors will take a 150 shot for years and years without problem if the nitrous kit is used correctly and jetted properly. I sprayed DOZENS of bottles of nitrous with a 150 shot and a 175 shot through my old Lincoln Mark VII 5.0, '88 Mustang GT, and others. My best friend has put literally over a HUNDRED BOTTLES through his 1986 shortblock.

People's fear of spray is brought about by people on the internet who've never used it and don't know what they're talking about.

with a good tune sure.. the 5.0L sn95's have weak head gaskets prone to popping under boost or on the jug i was waiting along time to pop mine luckily never did. ive heard guys popping them on 78-80 shots its all in luck i guess

It's not all luck, it's tune. It has nothing to do with luck. Also, not sure where you got that the 94-95 5.0Ls have some "weak" headgaskets when compared to any other 302 built in the last zillion years.

I've read it before online. I'm not going to argue with a penguin on the Internet. Numerous tuners even said this too me prior to blowing my motor.

Wasn't just on the Internet. My tuner who has done nitrous on a bunch of 5.0 sn's was warning me prior to it as well

Well, if it was written online, it must be true then.

man I hate debating things online for just that reason. Do a search, cut an paste a random article by some idiot and you must be right. I am currently in one on another forum that is similar where they say that something can never happen that I personally have seen more then a few times personally. Nothing is more annoying then being told your personal exp of what you have seen done countless times is 100% possible/impossible to happen beause jo-bob across the net said so...

This is the first I have heard of anyone doing rings on a NO2 system. I could see how it might not be a bad idea but from what I have heard, I will ride with the penguin...

In front of you
This is a simple case of fast and the furious logic i believe, ever since that movie came out people have these weird thoughts about nitrous. Nitrous is no different than any other power adder its goal is to add more air and fuel to your engine in order to create more power. If you think its some majic ju ju that breaks rings and head gaskets on sn s then your mistaken, when tuned inproperly any power adder or even N/A cars break shit. I think Paul has beaten this point to death, some of you guys need to start using common sense. When you see a stock bottom end car with a power adder such as a turbo or a blower it is the same as seeing it with nitrous if A. Abused beyond the power levels the factory parts can handle or B. Tuned by someone who prolly dates his sister/cousin, then the turbo/blower car will break as well. Now as for calling Paul a penguin, have you not seen Penguins of Madagascar show? Skipper is a fucking BOSS.

LMFAO. I think I may need to make that a signature.

I don't care for fast and the furious. Lol I had run a 125 shot on my car with two shades colder plugs gapped at 35 thou with no problems forever with a 255lph. I never stated it was going to break. As far as rings go I never said that either. I like nos and as as far as calling him a penguin it's still funny. Go watch surfs up!!

I bought this kit.

My trans is a full manual 4r70w with a 2,500 converter. The kit is on a throttle switch. Should I be running a window also? Seems like I would want it to hit a few hundred RPM over my max footbrake stall to get it out of the hole. Never dealt with nitrous before.

OK, I have but the bottles were much much smaller.

I'd recommend one I've never had nitrous on auto,I know it's nice to have when your using a standard just incase you miss a shift mines setup at 2900-5100RPM and it works good

You should stop going to that tuner. The SN95 carries the same fucking part number head gasket as other 302s.

Thanks tips. And actually I'll continue using the same tuner being that the drivability and power and afr's from his tunes are awesome. Cometic head gaskets Ftw

Dry doesn't use fuel mixed with the shot where a wet kit has two feeds going into the nozzle one for gas and one for nitrous.
