well a good compression range is 8.5:1 (KEEP IN MIND THIS IS JUST MY OPINION) but with a supercharger that is belt driver you gain instant power so you don't have to worry about the lower end as much. going 8.5:1 or that range compression allows you to pull more timing and make it further on gas before you have to go to race fuel. if you ever take the blower off, the car will be dead on it's face but.. with the supercharger you'll see a lot more gains with a 8/9.5:1 type compression

I plan on going with 8.9:1 which is mostly 18cc pistons, or I'm still considering 9.5:1

ask your tuner what they are comfortable with. i have had a lot of success with a 1600 cfm blower @ 22 psi and the motor being 9.19:1 and only using 93 octane... non-intercooled

i just upgraded the pistons to make more power and the motor is now 8.7:1...

only person who can truly answer that question is you... intended use, type of gas, who is tuning it etc
