I have a 94 GT AODE with a Kenne Bell blower @ 8psi. The car has 127,000 miles and added the supercharger about 3,000 miles ago (124k) and also changed the lower intake to a gt40. The car has been dyno tuned and all mods are in my sig. Every once in a while at the strip I would see some white smoke at the top end of the track, about when the shift to third takes places. Lately tho Its been smoking around second gear at WOT. Is white smoke fuel? thats what i was under the impression it was. I dont seem to feel a loss of power or anything. I was just wondering what you guys think is the cause of this besides having an old worn out engine. Thanks

Does the smoke smell sweet? If so it's anti-freeze which could mean a cracked head gasket.

I havnt really been able to smell it, but its very possible thats the problem. Ive been expecting that to happen since the day I ordered the blower lol Whats the best method to check if I do have a cracked head gasket? pressure test?

The car seems to run fine still and vacuum is still 18-19 at idle as it was day 1.

Look for leak marks and check coolant level. Probably is due to the extra boost. For a gas engine, smoke is as follows: White=coolant(unless cold outside, which is usually just water vapour) Blue=oil, Black=fuel.

oh man, i hate smoke colors. because I have proven it over and over in the shop and during classes. White smoke is also fuel! if an injector is stuck in the open posistion in that sence.... scence... man I hate spelling that word. the exhaust will be a white color. granted it is mainly for coolant, but it is also fuel.
Ah man, I never would have even thought of the head lifting up during boost. oh man that is good. no seriously, that is really a good thought. crazy. but even with that little amount of boost? is 8 psi alot for the 5-o? I am used to runing into trouble at 33psi for evo's, and I run into a trouble after 15psi in my 22ret.
so best bet I guess would be swap out headgaskets to sce copper, or metal compound gaskets, then arp stud it. you will break your head before you ever get that problem, or go with dealership gaskets, and arp stud it. me I would sce copper head gasket and arp. turn up the boost, swap out injectors, bigger throttle body, intake, take off the exhaust past the headers, haul some balls boy! haha. thats me and I am crazy.

I'll continue keeping an eye on the coolant, it doesnt seem to be losing much if any that ive noticed so far. What do you guys think I should do? Keep running it until the head gasket blows out fully? tear it down and replace gaskets? Im tempted to just drive it till it completly goes then get myself a crate engine, because the engine is old. I want heads and cam but if I do that I might as well have a built bottom end.

Run it until it blows.

drive it for now as you build your new engine. once you finished your build swap everything else needed and stuff the new engine in. why be without a car. i learned the hard way twice.

I would put new head gaskets in with ARP studs and drive it, so it wont break, and build your new engine. I bet you are lifting your head under boost, as the engines use torque to yield head bolts that are designed to stretch. unless you replaced them, of course.
