Who has had to replace a PCM ??

For those of you who have had to replace your powertrain control module,how much of a problem, if any, did you have with your PATS?I have no A/C in my coupe. We have traced it to the PCM, it's not sending a signal to the IRCM which I know is still good,because I took the IRCM out of my convertible (which has A/C) and swapped it and that didn't cure my problem.Actually it is still sending a signal but it just turns my compressor of and on constantly in like 5 second intervals.BTW we ruled out the compressor the hard way,it's new $$, it just seems weird to me that only one circuit in the PCM would go bad and the rest works like a charm.I have temporarily grounded the lead from the PCM to the IRCM and now the A/C blows like a champ,but I don't want to leave it that way permanently.Any ideas gents?

It'll be interesting to hear cause when I will be swapping to an auto computer "soon".
