Ok well im kinda giving up hope since everyone says its 2 hard for a 95 convertable gt to run 12s in a basic H/C/I combo so can someone prove me wrong and tell me whos running 12s in a 94-95 GT ??? They said that the foxbodys are the shit to get into the 12s so im thinking about selling the 95 but i dont really want to since i already put at least 10,000 in the car and i just put a new 306 motor in it :( help me out guys

You can do it no problem. I've done it in my 94 Convertible. Granted, I have a pretty serious combination but that is completely unnecessary. If you want to run 12s, get a combination that can run 108 mph or so and you'll be in the 12s all day.

TFS or AFR heads
Holley Intake/70mm TB, good MAF
Anderson Cam or custom or anything else that is healthy
Decent exhaust, 3.73s, shifter, etc...

killercanary on stangnet.com has a vert that went like 12.20s all day with a stock bottom end 5.0l, afr 165s, systemax upper and lower with an fti custom ground cam. he had all of the supporting boltons too. thats pretty impressive if you ask me.

Not only getting the right engine combination but also making the convertible as light as possible. Remove spare tire, jack, 25lb weight in the fender, ultralite wheels, etc.... All these things can help bring you into the 12's. My 1994 gt convertible, has a built motor, and it runs in the low 12's n/a with the factory automatic. I think with just h/c/i I could've been in the 12's.

you put 10 grand in the car and your not running 12's, what did you spend the money on, the last run i did before the track closed for the season i ran a 12.8 and thats with everything i have in my sig and the car weighed in at 3145 lbs. and all that didnt cost no more than a couple thousand

man i ran a 12.76 with the mods on my sig i'm stock from throttle body to oil pan stock gears although i have 5sp and M/T drag radials. i have a 175 shot of nitrous untuned and i trapped 102mph because i let off completely at teh end of 4th gears, I burned the tip off of 2 of my plugs. and on a 94 degree day here in south florida. i think you could do it with a shifter kit gears and good tires and a 125 shot of dry nitrous (no wet). you will be good for 12's all day. and that will be on a stock pump and stock injectors. just enjoy the ride man.

I've only ran mine at the track with a 75 shot and ran a 12.49. I've run 12.9 all motor though.
