Kenne Bell units for 96-98 cobras dont use bypass valves. Can anyone tell me why not. I have a problem where my stang with kb 1.5l is not boosting
everyone is saying bypass valve must be stuck open, but their is no bypass on this unit.

I have checked vaccum lines, all looks good their.
belt is not slipping

In addition now I have a check engine light and rough idle, smell like it is burning rich.

Sum it all up:

1. Why no bypass valve on kb units for these models?

2. what could be my problem based on the fact I am not making boost, have check engine light, rough idle, burning rich.

i'm not sure on the bypass valve deal for some reason i want to say i don't remember the 03 cobras even having one stock but i'm probably wrong...

as for the check engine light, a code really helps to tell you what is wrong... and rough idle can be a maf issue and running rich could also be caused by maf or o2 sensor..
