Will 6x9 speakers fit in the rear panel without the mach 460 box or are the holes too small?

Ok then my next question, Wouldnt it make more sense for me to put 6x9's in the rear and 6x8's up front rather than 4 6x8's all around?

6x8s wont fit in the doors, but you could put 6x9s in the back and 6 1/2s up front

6x8's are stock all the way around.....I always like crutchfield, you can pick your car, and it tells you what all bolts right in.....

the gain made from the extra inch would be minimal at best. I am not so sure they will fit in the enclosure with out cutting but you could probably mount them to the bottom of the rear deck with out the enclosure.

Not sure what the love affair with 6x9s is I thought that ended in the 90's....

Im gonna go with four 6x8's. All my cars always had 6x9's in the rear for base and 6/1/2's up front. I feel weird putting 6x8's up front but I havenet done audio in a while so I guess times are changing. I want to get the best sound possible.

BTW - 6x8's in front and rear on the coupes only, 6.5" rear on the vert (good thing I pulled the rear apart before I ordered new speakers)

I want to say I had the 6X8 all around but it has seriously been 15+ years since I changed them so I am second guessing myself :)

most mustangs dont have a good sound stage period. exhaust and rattles distort everything. where the speakers are in the vehicle arent optimal.
