Im deffinitly purchasing either a mac o/r prochamber or a pypes o/r x pipe and am wondering if i will notice an increase in hp from my stock midpipe to an upgraded o/r midpipe...Im also considering buying a CAI kit because i need a new air filter anyways and americanmuscle has some CAI kits for only 80 bucks that ive heard good things about...I know all this would theoretically add a good amount of HP but would it be noticable???

Yep, but it won't be like "OM EFFING GOD ITS SOOO FAST NOW" if that's what you mean.

I'll put it this way, I noticed a bigger difference in adding gears to my 5.0L then my full catback/CAI combined. I honestly felt no gain but a cool sound with the CAI, and the catback/midpipe was a slightly noticeable difference.

If it's an Off-Road X-pipe or H-pipe, then you should gain a little horsepower... 5 horsepower... maybe. 4 1/2 hp if the cats are attached. Of course I'm using ricer math, but I know that they do make a small difference either way.

Of course if you don't have gears... then 4.10's or 3.73's will be your best bet at going faster. You will notice it... ALOT.

Even though some of you think there is a difference it might just be in your head. Im not saying your wrong, I know it makes a difference but if you could actually feel it or not I don't know.

the biggest difference is the sound difference, i could not believe how much louder swapping from the stock H pipe to the o/r Prochamber, its crazy.

Well i know gears will be my best bet for going faster but i really dont have the kind of money for that. I know i could find some 3.73s for cheap but there a b**** to install and i dont wanna have to pay anyone for an install too... And the reason im buying an o/r x is for the sound mainly i know its not gonna add any performance i was just curious if that midpipe plus a cheap CAI could maybe add a solid 15 hp...

you do understand that putting the exhaust on will not ADD hp to your car, it will make your engine more efficient, thus freeing up previously unavailable hp because of restriction. To answer your question, will you feel it, no probably not.

Yeah I knew that, I was just wondering how much hp a CAI and non restrictive midpipe would free up...I know it wont be much Im more concerned about the scream of the o/r x...thats really the main reason I want it

You will really open up the sound on it with that combo, which in some situations will make you think it's faster. lol
