Would a T-3650 fit?

Would a Tremec T3650 offof a 01 Stang fit into my 96 with a 02 PI engine and an aluminum driveshaft?
I wouldn't want to change the d/s.
Are there any advances to the stock T-45?

yes you can and its the same driveshaft.

What about the speedo gear? I believe the 01s have electronic readings?
