Why searching around some forums I have found a set of ported e7 heads that have been cleaned and checked by a machine shop. The only problem is that they are currently disassembled. How hard would it be to put them back together if I bought a trickflow kit? I can pick these up for 150. I cant deside if I truely want these or not and they are such a good deal. The car they cam out of had an fcam so the springs have already been upgraded im sure. But just to be safe I thought about the trickflow kit and just lapping the valves.

You can make decent power with ported E7's. Do they have larger valves or are they still stock?

Stock valves still in them, They were on the car when he go the car and the ports look awsome on them. I think im going to get them. I get such a good discount from work that all it will really cost is my time, and a very small amount of money to put them on the car.

Well port size and the way they look are one thing, velocity is another.

Did he do the portwork, did he have them flow tested? Granted he only wants $150 so if not it's not a big deal. If they are apart then I would see how much the machine shop would charge to do a larger set of valves. The GT40 valves would probably work well and are definitley better than the baby d1ck E7 valves.. GT40 valves are 1.84/1.54.

I would see if he would do ~$100. Tell him you have to pay to have them re-assembled..see if he goes for it.

Now you have to compare them to stock heads and see how big the ports really are. These are ported both intake and exhaust?

Post the pictures...let me see them.

They are on corral under 5.0 performance parts. Im going to pick them up now. i found the measurments for stock on a diyporting.com and his are bigger than those. The previous owner of the car had the heads ported so he doesnt know much about them. With as nice as they look maybe ill luck out and they will be a set of thumper heads. http://forums.corral.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1195724

Ill post pics tommorow. It doesnt look like the CC have been touched so ill probibly smooth those out a little bit. The intake side has been ported to a Felpro 1262 gasket. And my Mr.Gasket Ultra seals seem go fit perfect on the exhaust side. Now just to find myself a used tfs1 cam. Tommorow im going to start lapping the valves and probibly putting them together/painting them.

Nice score! I have a set of E7's I'm sitting on waiting to port. The cars not going to be a street monster so I cant justify spending the money on new heads. But a few bolt-ons and a little port work to add to my fun is alright if you ask me.
