Ok, so a few weeks ago I did my full P.I. Swap. But I just came across A set of xe278ah cams at summit racing brand new for a deal I just couldnt pass up. Now I know they are extemely aggressive but my question is will they clear? and will it run on a stock computer. I have all the tuning software to make it run. But basically is it even worth it to install? If not anybody need some brand new cams cheap? haha

I am pretty sure the pistons have to be notched to run those cams.

Those are very aggresive cams. I'm think that they will cause a lil problem. But IDK their are some people running them without notched pistons. If so, the tunning would be a must, and for springs get the crane cam springs, they are stronger than the comp springs.

Also, those cams like RPM's... Probably more than what your stock bottom end will like on a regular basis. I say build a separate motor and then put those cams into some ported heads and stand back and hold on!

I may be interested in trading for my 270s for those. 30 miles and 14 track passes. Let me know if you are interested...

they wont clear with a .600 clearance like you should have. the 270 was a great cam around town... Very conservative under 3500 RPM and just screamed up top. Let me think about the cams.
