...then I'll move it to 4.6 Tech where it belongs.
5.5-6 with an empty oil filter
i didnt change out the filter
u used the same filter?
1) mod moved to the WRONG section, he is a silly 4v guy. My 2v guys know better then this...
2) I confirmed its more then 5 quarts for a 2v 96 the other day VIA alldata pro.
3) Im moving this and still have 4v's in my 2v section have a nice day
Why did you NOT change the oil filter?
You're supposed to change it when you change the oil, if not its kinda pointless...
aight ill do that this afternoon then.
ur suppost to do it at the same time kiddo
^ I was going to say too late aswell.
First oil change FTS? lol
what kind of oil have you been using and how many times have you changed the oil yourself??
never heard of anyone changing the oil and not the filter thats just absurd :violent1:
i wonder if he knows when he changes the filter the new oil he just put in will come out...
We've all had our silly mistakes.
mobil 1 5w-30. and ive only changed it once as you can see lol
:confused1: :confused1: :confused1: :confused1: :confused1: :confused1: :confused1: :confused1: :confused1:
the filter is the most important part to change.
with synthetic oil the way it is today, it can last 10,000 miles (they say...)
the problem is the junk that gets stuck in that oil that the filter needs to pull out.
i use a napa gold filter with a filtermag magnet on it.
also, if you change only the filter, yes SOME of the new oil you put in will come out... alot of it will stay in the oil pan.
this wont kill your car... dont worry about it... shiz happened... you're young...
just go get 3 more quts of the same oil and a new filter. swap out the filter. re-fill it back up and call it good.
if you have an extra qut. of unused oil (still factory sealed) just keep it in your trunk.
i also suggest the purchase of these (or simular):
Wow I almost thought this was Mustang Forums with all the bad info on the amount of oil a 4V needs. There is actually a huge debate on that the 4V can take more than 6 qts. but that is for everyone to do there own research and make there own conclusion
Engine -- Mach I 4.6L (4V)
Oil Capacity (Quarts U.S.): 6 +/- 0.25 - l. With Installation of a new filter.
