Yeah, those looks god awful. So does the car from a Cobra stand point. Whoever did that and ruined a cobra should be taken out back and shot.

Question: Can you powder coat the lug nuts on my car?
Answer: Yes, but they may not fit in your lug nut socket any more. To get an effective corrosion protection on steel lug nuts, the powder needs to go on with a dry film thickness of between .003" and .006". That means the overall size of your lug nut may increase as much as .012", which may not seem much but which is more than the clearance between the nut and some sockets. We generally recommend people look to see if they can buy lug nuts in the color they desire, as those manufactured to be coated are made undersize to allow for the thickness of the coating.

I wouldn't suggest powdercoating lug nuts, but if you had your heart set on it then just use a socket that fits after they are powder coated, maybe a Metric one.

I'd lean towards no...

I think the only way it might work is if they were painted black on a black car....maybe..

I always liked that style wheel best on our cars. I had a set of Chromed cobra's that came on my car, same wheel pattern as the pictures, just chrome, two wheels were mint, one was slightly pitted and the other one was pretty shot. They were so rare I haven't been able to find another two in good condition to make a decent set =/. So I'm gonna settle and pick up a Machined face set (like 1996 pace cars had)

I think the red is too much.
But if you had a Mystic cobra, It could look pretty cool if you did the pockets in the colorshifting paint.

EBay sells our wheels in chrome and machined, well I've seen them on there before. Maybe not chrome with charcoal pockets......and...I totally agree with your Mystic remark..I'd had that revelation too! It would be the best combo. Rio red is a hard color to manage, wheel wise. Stupid Cobras!..haha

I think he may be on to something here. Just not sure if the sharp edges will go well with the jellybean sn95 shape I DO like this pic though.

I've always personally loved the stock 96 machined wheels with gloss charcoal pockets, the red may look good but that remains to be seen. the reference pic is too nasty imo.

I'm sure it could look good if done right...
