You guys with AODE's

Well I am looking to get another Sn95 with an AODE.. I know its and auto but how do you guys like them... I will be coming out of a stock AOD car so it cant be much worse...

I already know what every one will say about 5ht 5spd to auto.. Thats why I asked the AODE guys THEIR input..

ive had to rebuild mine already once, and the car only has 51k with minor mods.

Just depends on how it was used. Mine runs great and shifts perfect @136k.

The 4R70W in the 96+ is a fairly decent auto and with a JMOD and TC/Tune can hand a manual a nice beating too.

I had no problems with my trans, I did have to replace it around 200k with one i got from PA transmissions but it was understandable since i drove the dog crap out of it. I could have rebuilt it but opted to just replace it with a built trans for future mods

my AODE with the B&M shift kit shifts great! wanting to get a tuner and see how much better i can get it to shift. i can chirp the tires in my basically stock gt with good tires with the 1st to 2nd shift even in overdrive

if you are coming from a stock AOD then you'll LOVE the aode or 4r70w....

I'm a standard guy through and through, and I realy regret buying my gt with an auto... It shits and gets, and with my few mods, still put car length on stock standards. And fenders on 99:01 cobras and 03/04 machs on the highway, butt only pulls a 14 flat on drag radials.. And that's after a little practice. First run ever on the car in it's current configuration ran a 14.7 on street tires on tall heavy 18 inch rebels.

Yea I am coming from an AOD to a AODE.. I havent really dogged or drove this one hard yet. But I can say it feels much better then the AOD..

Best part is it can be minipulated by a computer, so a good mail order tune will make it feel so much better.
